Passo Sella, Summer 2019, Italy, South Tyrol

Summer 2019, Italy, South Tyrol.

A long trip started that summer. Got a car from Rome airport and drove off to explore the fields of Tuscany.

The plan was to go on a road trip in 4 countries that summer.

We explored and photographed for the first time in Tuscany for a few days and then drove off to the Dolomites! A well-known location for us. Long story short we crossed over to Slovenia had a small car accident in Lake Bled, but that's another story! Drove off to Austria, changed plans due to extreme weather, off to Germany, and then back to Italy! It was one of the new places we wanted to visit for a sunset photoshoot called Passo Sella. So we started early, 4h before sunset, to explore the location. We found our spot for the sunset and we thought it would be a good idea to have a quick bite before. We took the car and started going back uphill to the closest restaurant. The road was packed with cyclists in the meantime and we couldn't go faster than 20km/h. Suddenly within seconds, the vast mountain got covered in thick clouds and the light was breaking through the cloud gaps lighting the landscape. I stopped the car literally in the middle of the road grabbed the camera and took this shot.

The light was gone 30sec. later!

One of a kind light of the moment!
